Town Park in Addison has been around a long time.
Jimmy Carter was our countries president when the park opened and the first child took a swing in what was a brand new playground back then.
Hotel California by the Eagles was the nation’s #1 song when the first Mom’s and Dad’s picnicked with children on the fresh green grass.
However, 40 years of wear and tear made it necessary for the old park to get a face lift. It had one.
Town Park, Addison’s very first park, opened in 1977 at 3799 Sidney Drive. Over the past year, the Town of Addison said that the park has been transformed.
Town Park couldn’t have gone through it’s metamorphosis without the help from employees from Hilton Worldwide. Hilton Worldwide volunteered 278 hours tearing out overgrown landscaping and replacing sod.
Hilton is one of the largest and fastest growing hospitality companies in the world, their website said. Hilton has more than 5,000 properties and more than 825,000 rooms in 103 countries and territories. Hilton has an office in Addison. Hilton’s office is located at 15305 Dallas North Tollway, Addison, TX 75001.
