Todd Meier, former Mayor of the Town of Addison is giving back to the town with countless volunteer work.
In the Town of Addison’s weekly news release, the Town congratulated Mr. Meier on his over 300 volunteer hours with Addison,
Todd Meier volunteers with ACAP
Todd is an active member of the Addison Citizens Assisting Police (ACAP) program and has diligently come in for his weekly patrol for the past two years, the news release said.
According to the Town of Addison, Todd Meier signs up for a four-hour shift each week and often takes an extra shift to ride tandem with one of our other ACAP members.
“Todd has demonstrated a consistent dedication to Addison’s volunteer program and has also helped with many of our Special Events. We appreciate all of his contributions and want to recognize his outstanding service”, the release from the Town of Addison said!
According to the Town of Addison website, The ACAP Program is not intended to replace any functions performed by police personnel. Rather, its role is to augment and complement services provided by the Department to the community. Volunteers provide the Addison Police Department with the ability to use existing funds and paid personnel in a more productive manner.
