Town of Addison leaders hosted a delegation from Brazil On Tuesday, July 26th, the Town of Addison said.
The Town of Addison said that Mayor Joe Chow, Executive Director of Business Performance and Innovation Hamid Khaleghipour, and Addison Police Lieutenant Brian Pietsch welcomed a delegation. the delegation was from the Brazilian Federal Highway Police to Town Hall.
Group wanted to learn about Addison’s License Plate Readers
The group wanted to learn more about Addison’s use of license plate readers (LPRs) and the Addison Police Department’s (APD) new in-car cameras and body cameras, the Town of Addison said in their weekly news letter.
The Addison City Council approved the purchase of the LPRs from Vigilant Solutions in April 2021. The new in-car and body cameras for APD came from Axon Systems in August 2021. Representatives from Vigilant Solutions asked Addison to host this law enforcement group and share the Town’s experiences.
