Council Adopts Amended Naming and Recognition Policy for City-Owned Structures, Trails and Parks

the Addison City Council approved a resolution adopting the Naming and Recognition Policy for Town-owned structures, parks and trails. The approval was given at the November 14th meeting.

On June 9, 2015, the City Council approved a resolution adopting the Naming and Recognition Policy for Town-owned structures, parks and trails.

By the request of several Council Members, staff brought this policy back to Council at the September 13, 2017, meeting. During the discussion, Council directed staff to bring back a draft policy that included discussed changes to the original policy adopted in 2007.

Addison City Council approved a resolution at last weeks meeting.

At the November 14 City Council Meeting, the Council approved the amended policy that included recognition potential for people who make a million dollar financial contribution to the Town and for employees who have served for more than 25 years. You can watch the discussion here.
