Addison Police and Firefighters thank dispatchers for all they do

Today begins the 2019 National Public Safety Telecommunications Week.

Town of Addison Police and Firefighters thanked the North Texas Emergency Communication Center – NTECC Dispatchers and all Dispatchers this National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

“Our dispatchers fill a critical roll each and every day that all too often goes unrecognized,” Town of Addison Police said on their Facebook page. “They are the calm voice on our radios during chaos.”

Addison Police said that dispatchers are the first ones to answer your emergency call. Addison Police said that when police and fire come to your aid with lights and sirens, that same dispatcher leaves your call and moves on to answering our radio transmissions.

Dispatcher’s work is never done.

“We’d like to thank the people taking the calls and initiating our emergency responses,” The Town of Addison Firefighters said on their Facebook page.
