Town of Addison Independence Day Holiday Hours

The Addison Athletic Club will be closed on Sunday, July 4, but the outside pool will be open from 1pm – 6pm. The Club will reopen to the public on Monday, July 5.

All other Town offices will be closed on Monday, July 5. Trash and recycling will be collected as usual.

Addison police said they’re investigating the death of an elderly woman in an Addison apartment complex. The woman was found dead early Monday evening. Addison Police said that they are treating the case as a homicide. However, they said that they don’t believe there’s a threat to the public. Addison police said that they were called to the Bent Tree Brook Apartments Monday night at 6:30 p.m. The apartment complex is located on the corner of Westgrove Drive and Ledgemont Lane in Addison. Police said that when they arrived, they discovered 82-year-old Joan Mulcathy dead outside of here apartment. Her body was discovered in her wheelchair in the breezeway of her apartment complex, city spokesman Dan Reed told the Dallas Morning News. Addison Today has checked the Addison Police social media page today (Thursday) and there is no mention of anyone in custody. Police told the Dallas morning news that they are following leads and there are several persons of interest. Anyone who may have seen anything that could be connected to the incident or who may have photos or security footage from around that time may call Addison police at 972-450-7156.
