Addison residents to see slight Increase in utility bills

Addison residents will see a slight increase in their utility bills beginning in November. The town of Addison announced the increase in their weekly news letter Friday.

Addison purchases water from Dallas Water Utility and sewage treatment services from Trinity River Authority, the town of Addison said. They said that in the past year, both entities experienced cost increases.

TRA owns and operates five water treatment and supply facilities, five wastewater treatment facilities, one reservoir and one recreation project, plus serving as local sponsor for three multiple-purpose lakes operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

TRA’s services are contracted for by cities, municipalities or districts. TRA also serves as a conduit for tax-exempt financing for municipal water and wastewater facilities and for industrial pollution control facilities.
