Town of Addison implements false alarm reduction program

the Town of Addison said that it might not surprise you to know that the Addison Police Department receives an average of 2,100 alarm calls every year.  What might surprise you is that 95% of those calls are false alarms.

To help us better allocate town resources, the Town of Addison announced that they’re implementing a false alarm reduction program.

The town of Addison said that beginning January 1st, 2018; all residents and businesses who use their alarm system (even if not monitored), must register it at AddisonAlarmRegistration.com.

No annual fee for residents, $50 for businesses

The town of Addison said that there is no annual fee for residents ($50 for businesses) and you will receive three free false alarm calls.  However, if you do not register your system, you will be charged $100 for the first false alarm.  That fee will be waived if you register your system within 30 days.

The Town of Addison said that if you have any questions or encounter any problems when registering, please call (855) 732-9022.
