Police continue to investigate alleged murder of Addison woman

Addison police said they’re investigating the death of an elderly woman in an Addison apartment complex. The woman was found dead early Monday evening.

Addison Police said that they are treating the case as a homicide. However, they said that they don’t believe there’s a threat to the public.

Addison police said that they were called to the Bent Tree Brook Apartments Monday night at 6:30 p.m. The apartment complex is located on the corner of Westgrove Drive and Ledgemont Lane in Addison.  Police said that when they arrived, they discovered 82-year-old Joan Mulcathy dead outside of here apartment.

Her body was discovered in her wheelchair in the breezeway of her apartment complex, city spokesman Dan Reed told the Dallas Morning News.
