Town of Addison Animal control said that they’re currently not trapping bobcats that have been seen roaming.
“It’s not uncommon to see bobcats during the daytime especially with this weather change, Addison Animal Control said.
Animal Control said that they’re not currently trapping the bobcats seen in Addison because they have been keeping to themselves. However, they said that If that decision changes, they will post details on their Facebook page.
Animal Control tips on how to keep family and pets safe from bobcats
Animal Control said that in the meantime, they have some tips to keep you and your family pets safe!
· If you plan on putting your animals in the backyard, check it out first.
· Do not feed wildlife.
· All pets should remain on a leash when being walked. This is for the safety of your pets and is an Addison ordinance. Supervise small pets and children and keep cats indoors when unsupervised.
· Secure garbage, compost, and pet foods.
· Be BIG and LOUD when you see bobcats near homes and community spaces.
· Talk to your neighbors if you see a possible attractant and ask them to remove it.
